The World Can Rest Easy Knowing that Scott Stapp's Sex Tape is Safe

(WENN)

A settlement was reached in Scott Stapp's favor against an adult film company in the case of his sex-tape debacle. The former "Creed" frontman (and lover of the classic wife-beater and leather pants ensemble) had chronicled his sexual romps on board a tour bus with Kid Rock back in 1999 and was suing World Wide Red Light District for illegally distributing the contents of the tape. Originally, the tape had been in Stapp's possession when it was stolen from a safe in his home.

"Obviously, someone wants to hurt me, and doesn't want me to be successful in my solo career," Stapp told AP Radio last year.

His partner in cavorting, however, didn't exactly agree with that sentiment. "[Stapp] is the idiot because it's out," Kid Rock said in response to Stapp's out-to-get-me theory. "I'm holding him responsible."

I have a sneaking suspicion that the one-armed man who stole the tape is probably the same one who broke in to steal Scott's talent, only to find that he'd been beaten to the punch.
