How Do You Feel About Celebrities Mixing With Politics?

Oprah, George Clooney, Eva Longoria and Charlize Theron...These days, everyone has an opinion and our favorite stars are no exception. Celebs have become very vocal about their political views. But what do you think?

Should celebrities should go public with their politics or should the public be left to make decisions that aren't swayed by their favorite celebs?

  • I think it looks smart bcoz it upgrades their image coz most of us view some celebrities like dummies bt by pertaking such a reality based responsibility a once tarnished image looks a little less tarnished.

  • I send a clear message to celebrities by not purchasing any of their movies, cds, or books if they endorse someone other than my candidate. If everyone did this, they would be forced to keep their mouth closed.

  • Unfortunately there are a few "uneducated" people out there who will listen to celebrity endorsements. I call it "working on weak minds."

  • Hey. Keep the Rosie O'Donnell quotes rolling along. That crazy chick is on another planet. Anybody who has the same views as her, will most certainly have second thoughts everytime she talks.

  • Celebs should not go public with their politics. Going public effects their public image and it truly demeans the public. Just because your a celebrity and you endorse a candidate doesn't mean the public will vote your way.

  • People are people, status or not, having the right to express themselves or not, whether educated or not, on whatever subject flips their switch, right or wrong, and that's that!

  • Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but many celebrities appear to think their opinions are *uber* important. Pam Anderson's comment, "She can s*ck it", then repeated by Lindsay Lohan, are embarrassing.

  • movie stars are people too.they can voice there opinions just like we do. i was for hillary and was going to vote for her. i am a democrat and have been all my life,so now i guess i will have to vote for obama
  • Celebs, what a joke does the fact that they are who they are make their opinions so important. Does it make them smarter then the rest of us. My opinion is that if they want to make the world a better place "send money" and keep quiet about it. Keep...

  • They are voters and have every right to voice their opinions. I'm just concerned because there are a lot of gullible Americans who listen to them. Does the average American get to go on TV to voice their opinion? No, of course not. They should be...

  • Enough already. First---celebrities have every bit as much right to express their opinions on politic(ian)s as anyone else. Not more, but NOT less. Second--who says the public doesn't make up its own mind no matter what any public figure says.
