See More... "The Insider" confirms that David Duchovny has entered a rehabilitation center for sex addiction.

"I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction," the "Californication" actor tells "The Insider" in a statement delivered by his lawyer, Stanton "Larry" Stein.  "I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."

The 48-year-old "X-Files" star has been married to actress Téa Leoni since 1997 and the couple have two children together.

There is no statement from Leoni, per her publicist. Showtime, which airs "Californication," tells "The Insider," "All of us at Showtime wish David and his family the best during this very private time."

  • My heart goes out to his family and to him for the courage it takes to come out of the closet as a Sex Addict. It comes with such a stigma it's all very sad yet there are thousands of people from all walks that are addicted to sex and porn. They think they are normal, and they are so far from it. And with our internet you can just go get it easily as sitting down and clicking. Its a very seductive addiction, first it's a thrill then you have to look for more deviant things to get that excitement.

  • I think he is brave person to admit he has a problem and try to get help .he seems to love his family to admit his problem my heart ith him get well soon u are abrave man.god safe u to your family.
