Report: Amy Winehouse in Legal Trouble Following Cancellation

Just on the heels of news that she pulled out of a Friday concert in Paris due to an illness, Amy Winehouse may be facing legal troubles due to the cancellation, says the New York Daily News.

 

The paper says organizers of the Rock En Seine festival announced they plan to pursue a lawsuit against the British songstress for reportedly backing out two hours before show time without giving them a reason.

Winehouse’s publicist released a statement this weekend saying the singer canceled because of an illness. But festival organizers say they were not told why Winehouse wasn’t able to perform, says the paper.

"We have still not been given any explanation of the exact reasons for her absence," organizers said this weekend. "We are very sorry about this situation and share the disappointment of the festival-goers."

  • There has got to be some reason if a performer of Amy Winehouse status backs off ... though must have been a great disappointment to thousands of fans ... still one must have a right to take good care of her health ... !
