See More... The boyfriend of the pregnant 17-year-old daughter of Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin will travel to the Republican National Convention this week to join the Palin family, the AP reported Tuesday night.

Eighteen-year-old Levi Johnston left Alaska Tuesday morning to join his girlfriend Bristol and the rest of the Palin family, which could make the young couple the center of media attention at the RNC.

Parents-to-be Bristol and Levi will marry, the Palin family disclosed on Monday, and Johnston's mother told the AP that the pair had planned to marry even before Bristol knew she was pregnant.

    • How is it her mothers fault? My mother was awesome and a praise her everyday because she was a GREAT mom. It wasnt her fault I snuck out in the middle of the night while she slept to go be with my boyfriend when I was a teenager. What is she suppose to read minds??? You cant expect everyone to know these things. WOULD YOU? Its a horrible thing when people JUDGE in this way.

    • She shouldn't have to disclose this information, I understand the bull about its the world business if she is vice president, but in all fairness...or wait not fair...because this world is certainly not fair...She should NOT have to tell us her family business. It is her daughter not ours. so she decides not us what to tell the entire world.

  • I was pregnant at 17 and my daughter is so intelligent and I finished high school , my daughter is going in to second grade now and I couldnt Imagine my life without her, my husband (her father) we married a year after she was born and are still in love. Being a pregnant teenager is not the end of the world. Its not the best thing. But I was stupid and thought the pull out method actually worked. Most teenagers do. So mistakes happen. I am sure she didnt intentionally get pregnant but now that she is she is doing the right thing. So I praise her for that and Hope to god that she does become our Vice President , she seems like a empowering woman and a fantastic mother. So all you can get of your high horse and suck it!

  • Tell Governor Palin to leave her kids alone. Her children are the focal point of she one stump speech and now Levi is headed to St. Paul to be with the entire Palin family at the RNC. Sarah Palin is placing her children at the center of the world stage in the name of "family values." She can hardly whine about people talking about them. She needs to take your advice--"leave the kids alone."

  • I have never been one to pay close attention to the election. Usually 2 weeks before i will read up on the candidiates and then choose based on the infornation in the papers or on the web. This election has caught my attention. Although we try tp say that our personal life has noting to do with the election, that is a lie. The entire presidential election is based on the candidates personal opinions, personal beleives and personal lives. Although teenage pregnancy happens every day, the white house, the president anf vice president are whre we turn for direction. I was a teenage mother, and yes I love my child;however my love for my child has nothing to do with representing my country. How can we turn to Sara Palins family to be the standard for America, and our values when her teenage child is pregnant. Yes, teenage pregnancy happens everyday, but it should not happen in the white house. The president and vice president are human; however, we must agree that they are the first representation of America. Is this what we want to see? If this is exceptable, I guess that we should let anyone run the country with substandard values.The situation occurred at the wrong time.

  • I am amazed how many democrats comment on a pregnant teenager and cast judgement when Clinton is the one who cheated on his wife had oral sex and lied about it and then stated oral sex is not sex. Ya''ll were more than willing to bring Hillary in and that two timing liar back into office!!! This is a young teenager who made a mistake and a woman who is facing the situation and not hiding it or making excuses and lieing about it!!!!! MUCH BETTER than the Clintons!

  • Pretend McCain is elected; POW's life expectancy is less than non-POW'S; so...already at 72 y.o., when he keels over, enter Palin as she becomes Prez. Though she claims it was Bristol's decision, then the only decision about pregnancies, including those due to rape or incest, will be Sarah Palin's decision to make you (women) have the baby...scary !!!

  • I am a lifelong Democrat and sincerely believe that Sarah Palin's family is NOT worthy of serious political discourse. It is more for the American Idol crowd. The only reason, however, that some people have taken issue with this is because of the Republican Party's view on moral issues. If Obama had a 17 year old daughter who got pregnant and her boyfriend made some obscene comments, many Americans would claim that this is the result of a liberal upbringing with lose moral values. Additionally, they would claim that they are a dysfunctional black family. As far as the boyfriend goes, if he were black, the conservatives would call him an urban thug. Having said all of this, I maintain that the Democrats must discuss the issues at hand: namely the disasterous 8 years of george w. bush regarding Afghanistan, Iraq, the rising gasoline prices, the minimum wage, health insurance, air and water pollution, the greenhouse affect and on and on and on. A vote for McCain and Palin will promise 4 more years of American decline and increased deficits.
