Ritchie tells The Insider the main character of 'RocknRolla' was the city of London, a city he says his wife Madonna reintroduced him to. "I suppose being married to an American influences the way I look at London," the British director said.
As for expanding their family, Ritchie jokes, "I don't know; the wife's in charge of those things."
In the grand tradition of Ritchie's previous mob flicks such as 'Snatch' and 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels,' 'RocknRolla' (in theaters October 31) follows a group of mobsters and underworld players in London who scramble to get rich quick when a real-estate scam puts millions of pounds up for grabs.
The film stars Gerard Butler, Jeremy Piven and Chris Bridges.
The film also stars Thandie Newton, new 'Quantum of Solace' Bond girl Gemma Arterton and Tom Wilkinson, and is from mega-producer Joel Silver's Dark Castle Entertainment.
