Live at the 2008 MTV VMAs!

The 2008 MTV Video Music Awards are here, and everyone (except me) is hoping that it won’t be as big a trainwreck as it was last year! The event has ditched Las Vegas and is back in Los Angeles. We will be sure to keep you up to date with the winners and highlights, so keep refreshing your page!

Performances and Highlights:

Britney Spears introduced the show, and she looked great and definitely did not have a repeat episode of last year.

Rihanna had an over-the-top performance of “Disturbia”, complete with tribal dancers.

Host Russel Brand starts off his set with a giant rant against the Republicans. Hmm….

The Jonas Brothers perform for the first time at the VMAs. They performed an acoustic set of “Love Bug” outside that led into something a little more “rockin”, and I’ll admit it, they were really cute!

Lil Wayne performs, with help from Leona Lewis and T-Pain.

Check out the winners after the jump!
