Jordin Sparks Sticks Up for Jonas Brothers' Promise Rings at VMA's

Britney Spears' trophy-laden night may have been the talk of the VMA's, but Jordin Sparks was fairly outspoken herself at the awards show when host Russell Brand poked fun at the Jonas Brothers' chastity rings.

"I just have one thing to say about promise rings," the former "American Idol" champ said on stage. "It's not bad to wear a promise ring, because not everybody -- guy or girl -- wants to be a ."

Brand made amends with a tongue-in-cheek reply.

"I didn't meant to take it lightly," he said of promise rings. "I don't want to piss off teenage fans." Then he later joked: "Promise rings, I'm well up for it. [But] a bit of sex, it never hurt anybody."

  • Well, Jordin might of over done it, but you've got of admit, It's not like EVERY teen is wearing a purity ring, beside I think you should wait to DO the DO till marriage when you and your partern can have kids (or not.)
