‘The Dark Knight’ Re-Released For Oscars

The Dark Knight is set to get recycled, and will be re-released to cinemas across the globe in January 2009… just in time to be noticed (again) for the start of the Oscars voting season.

According to reports, an insider from the Warner Bros. studio said: “It’s just a matter of brining it back as a reminder for people.”

In other words, the execs just want to “remind” those doing the Oscars voting that actor Heath Ledger is still dead, and still deserving of a post-humus gong.

Personally, I’d like to see another film snatch whatever awards this Batman sequel gets nominated in. It’s kind of tacky to re-release a film JUST to get Oscars votes.
