'The Insider''s 'Grey's Anatomy' Sneak Peek

It took Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) quite a while to commit to Dr. McDreamy (Patrick Dempsey) -- and in this sneak peek from the season opener, it looks as if it may be too late for their happily ever after -- or is it?

Also in the season premiere, an ice storm brings trauma patients to Seattle Grace, as well as adds a mysterious military doctor, Major Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd), into the mix.

Then the chief (James Pickens, Jr.) and staff are shocked to learn that Seattle Grace is no longer ranked as a top-tier teaching hospital!

Guest stars for the second season premiere include Bernadette Peters, Kathy Baker and Mariette Hartley.

Tune in when "Grey's Anatomy" returns with a two-hour season premiere on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 9 p.m.
