Former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, 32, and 35-year-old celebrity disc jockey DJ AM , whose real name is Adam Goldstein, are now in stable condition and are expected to make a full recovery following the Learjet crash in South Carolina that critically injured both men and killed four others.

Dr. Fred Mullins, medical director of the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia, said the two are being treated for second- and third-degree burns but had no other injuries and should therefore make "a full recovery."

"Since both Barker and Goldstein are in overall good health and didn't suffer from any other crash-related complications, a full recovery is expected," Mullins said.

Barker's ex Shanna Moakler rushed to his side following the crash, People magazine reports. Barker's former mother-in-law, Gail Moakler, told the magazine, "We're totally crushed," but Shanna rushed to be with Barker after learning of the crash on Saturday morning.

Moakler, whose daughter Shanna was married to Barker from 2004 until earlier this year, said, "Our heart pours out. We're hoping he recovers. The family is rallying around him and saying our prayers." Shanna, 33, a former Playboy Playmate, has a daughter and a son with Barker.

In their personal blogs, Lindsay Lohan and best pal Samantha Ronson offered words of support for their friends.

In a MySpace blog entry with the heading "horrible news," Lohan says: "Please send your prayers out to Adam Goldstein and Travis Barker - along with the others lost in the plane crash. It's so scary to think that life can end so fast...we must all treasure each and every moment - and be thankful for what we have."

A spokesperson for the National Transportation Safety Board said the plane, carrying six people, was departing Columbia Metropolitan Airport shortly before midnight Friday when air traffic controllers reporting seeing sparks. The plane overran the runway and crashed through antennas and a fence before coming to rest a quarter-mile away and engulfing in flames.

  • Yup, he's fine now. He disobeyed doctor's orders and went to his friend's funeral. Read an article this morning on STAR987.COM. Check it out here:

  • God is watching over us, and them as well... don't be so insensitive. Look at it this way... The J. M. Still burn center is the best in the country, and it is very fortunate that if something bad like this happened, that it happened so close...

  • @the post below me

If you think 'god' has anything to do with them getting better, I'm sorry to disappoint. The only thing that's going to make a difference is how skilled the doctors are. Enjoy your fantasy world.

    • How callous can you possibly be at a sad time like this. Maybe you should keep your comments to yourself if you can't be polite. This is a sad time for all the families involved and a little courtesy from you is not too much to ask!

    • Why don't you not knock someone for their beliefs and we wont knock you for yours! I dont see why that was necessary to bring up beliefs when this is a forum about two people that need prayer more then anything right now!

    • We have religous freedom in this country. Do not knock someone else's beliefs. The main thing is for these two men to recover and I'm sure they can use all the prayers they can get. Stable or not, they are still in critical condition.

  • i am deeply sadden by this news. I love them both. i really want to know who else was on the plane. i heard that gavin degraw could have died!?! is that true?!?

    • Gavin DeGraw was not on the plane. The 4 people killed were the pilot and co-pilot, as well as Travis' security guard and one other person that worked for him. Gavin DeGraw performed at the FREE show that Travis and Adam also performed at. Perhaps...

  • Please take a moment and ask God to watch over these 2 young men. Comfort them and watch over the doctors that treat them...Grant them safety and healing,. in Jesus name, Amen.
