Travis Barker, DJ AM Survive Fiery Plane Crash

Six people were on board a Learjet that crashed during takeoff from Columbia, South Carolina. Just after midnight the plane crashed off the end of a runway and hit antennas and a fence. It’s was reported that the air traffic controllers saw sparks as the plane attempted to take off.

The jet came to a halt on an embankment across a five-lane highway. It was completely engrossed in flames. A trail of black soot led back to the runway and the nose of the plane was gone along with the roof. Of the six passengers, 4 died. Travis Barker and DJ AM, real name Adam Michael Goldstein, survived the crash are currently being treated at a burn center in Augusta, Georgia. Both are in critical condition. Barker has been burned from the waste down while DJ AM’s face was severely burned. Both are expected to survive.

Sadly, other lives were lost.

Two other passengers — Chris Baker, 29, of Studio City, Calif., and Charles Still, 25, of Los Angeles — died, as did pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, of Anaheim Hills, Calif., and co-pilot James Bland, 52, of Carlsbad, according to the county coroner. Baker was an assistant to Barker and Still was a security guard for the musician.

While Goldstein was airlifted to the hospital Barker was brought in by ambulance. Obviously the arrived separately and are currently undergoing treatments.

Our hearts and deepest condolences to those effected by this.
