David Cook Drops the 'Lights On' His First Single

David Cook is ready to step into the limelight with the debut of his first single, "Lights On," later this week. Get ready for some rockin' good times as the "American Idol" winner's first single hits radio airwaves this week and is available on iTunes Sept. 30.

With the aid of many of music's greats, the rocker has high hopes for his first single. "Lights On" was co-written by rocker Chris Cornell who has fronted both Audioslave and Soundgarden, and is being produced by Grammy winning producer Rob Cavallo (Green Day and Kid Rock).

Get ready for more! David will also be releasing his debut album on Nov. 18!  Cavallo has enlisted the help of some of the hottest names in music to be a part of the singer's first album.

Watch closely because there’s still more to come from the boy from Blue Springs, MO, with a winning set of pipes!
