  • I'm so glad to see so many compassionate celebs! I'm a huge animal lover and will be voting YES! on Prop 2! Even animals raised for food deserve humane treatment and similar laws have already been passed in Colorado, Arizona, Florida, Oregon and the entire European Union! It's about time California step up to the plate with it's humane treatment of farm animals.

  • Well good luck buying free-range chicken and eggs if Prop 2 passes, because it's going to force most poultry operations in California (even free-range ones) to completely scrap their current operations. The rules in Prop 2 are so strict they will ban nearly all poultry and egg production in California, even free-range.

  • Big fan of Ellen's and so sad that she is voting yes on PROP 2. The American Veterinary Medical Association says it is misguided and stands to hurt animals...hope she will rethink it -- or at least the voters will.

  • Dear Ellen,
I am glad you are speaking out about animal rights. I too am an animal lover and when I buy meat for my family it is always of the free-range variety.
A few years ago I too would be singing your praises as many of your fans are, but I can’t. Seeing you support this is quite awkward, and to me it seems like a backwards Senator Larry Craig move to justify your other wrongs.
Because your words and actions are so incongruent it is simply weird that you support this.

    Good luck with the campaign,
    Allie

Note to the reader: CoverGirl tests on animals, but Ellen has NO problem being their new spokeswoman. I would bet my paycheck that if the farmers in CA offered Ellen enough money she would be
campaigning to vote "No on Prop 2". I am certain her platform would be the state of the economy and how she she would not want to increase the cost of food for the hard working families in America. Ellen is such a poser and a sham, it is ridiculous that people even care what she has to say.
