- Bad News for Snarky 24 Fans (like this one):
Kim Raver, or as I like to call her, "Praying Mantis" will be hauling her bones back to 24 this season. Why can't the character die? Oh, that's something to hope for. As Jack's love interest from 2 seasons ago ("Day 4"), Audrey added less than nothing to a show which needs, and thrives, when it has strong, kick ass female characters to offset the Testes flying around everywhere. (It's no secret why unlikely leading lady snarky, brilliant, grouchy, saves- Jack's ass everyday-via subnets-techie Chloe has become so popular.) As far as I can remember, Praying Mantis's last run on the show opened with her telling Jack she loved him, and he never said it back (he was a little occupied that day). Take a hint, Audrey, and hit the road!
Here's Kim showing her "range" and emoting her goal for 2007 - to make that hose look fat compared to her.
We should expect no less from Sidney Poitier, but here's a brand new quote which is so good it must be read twice:
On what occasion do you lie?
"First, let me disarm that loaded question. I know how easy it is for one to stay well within moral, ethical and legal bounds through the skillful use of words - and to thereby spin, sidestep, circumvent, or bend a truth completely out of shape. To that extent, we are all liars on numerous occasions."

- For the simple breakfast lover who has everything, I mean everything, or for people who shop when drunk, keep your eye out for the new Porsche designed toaster. The real fun in products like this is to read the product information, " unique dust cover? how intriguing. 1000 watts? Slight panic - how many watts is my current toaster vs. my neighbour's? "
You know who would really like this product, along with the whole product range? My friend Patrick Bateman. True or not, and I hope to never find out, the fictional image of meticulously neat and Martha-like organized homes of serial killers is an endless source of humour around here, especially when Dave organizes the cupboards. It's really the one good thing you can say about them.
Have a great weekend everyone! Today is a big event for friends to gather at my place: Hockey Day in Canada and our second annual regift party. Regift is a beautiful and loving tradition where we share the exquisite horrors we receive and pass them on to each other. The most "stunning" as voted by the group wins the grand prize. If it's as hilarious as last year's event, the highlights will be shared here (protecting the guilty of course!)
