Just in: "The Insider" has obtained audio of the 911 call made by a citizen who allegedly witnessed Heather Locklear driving erratically Saturday afternoon just prior to her DUI arrest. Click here to listen to the call.

A spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol confirmed to "The Insider" that the 911 caller observed a woman, alleged to be Locklear, acting strangely and driving poorly as she left a parking lot in Montecito, California -- an upscale town adjacent to Santa Barbara.

Locklear was booked at 7 p.m. Saturday on suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and was later released from custody.

Representatives for the star declined comment but have referred us to Locklear's attorney.

  • I feel so sorry for Heather Locklear. Her whole world was turned upside down when her so called husband cheated on her. I know it was while they were separated but he most likely did it while they were married. I will pray and send out my love for her. She needs help from family and friends who can reach out to her. Her heart is broken and she doesn't seem to know how to mend it.
