I Like It I Don't Like It
Vicious hits... Violent kicks! In our continuing "Insider" reality series, we enter the intense world of cage fighting women on "CBS Elite-XC Saturday Night Fights," airing tomorrow on CBS.

"What's involved in it is pretty much anything goes," cage fighter Gina Carano -- who plays Crush on "American Gladiators" -- tells our own Victoria Recano. "You just try to beat the person till they submit."

This beautiful, single brunette is the face of a new sport that more women are venturing into -- mixed martial arts. But she treasures her feminine side too, as we go behind the scenes with her on a photo shoot for November's issue of Shape magazine.

"For sure, you gotta be female too," says Gina. ""I'm single and I don't know why. I'm just focused on a lot of different things, I guess. When you meet a guy, the question goes through their head whether you can beat them up or not, and I think that's an instant unattraction. It's like, if they can't take you I don't think they're interested."

  • Please tell me why women feel the need to be men --- is this what the FemiNazis envisioned when they came up with total equality? It's going too far when women decide to take up boxing, football, hockey, wrestling and other male-dominated sports. Call me terribly old-fashioned (and I won't care) but I think women should be women --- feminine and womanly. Seeing two women beating each other to a pulp, or knocking each other down or hitting one another with a stick is just plain wrong. I don't like men doing it either --- I HATE boxing -- but women doing it is even worse.

    • i don't totally diagree with you. I definitely think that the western feminism has gone too far. Females aren't just asking for equality anymore, but they actually just want the advantages—not the duties which come along.
Concerning the topic, I *do* think it's alright that also female can take their aggression out somewhere. And ugly cat fights out in the public are definitely *not* looking good at all. It is better to have it controlled and organized then.
