See More... O.J. Simpson was found guilty of armed robbery, kidnapping and 10 other counts on Friday in Las Vegas -- a development that could land him in jail for the rest of his life, says the Associated Press.

Simpson "released a heavy sigh," says the AP, as the court recited the charges, and he was promptly swept into police custody. His lawyer said he’d appeal.

Prosecutors said that last year, the disgraced football star rounded up five other men (two packing guns) and robbed two sports-collectible dealers in Las Vegas.

The AP says that kidnapping can carry five years to life in prison, while armed robbery carries up to 30 years with a minimum of two. O.J.'s sentence will be determined in court on Dec. 5.

Coincidentally, the verdict in the case came 13 years to the day after Simpson was acquitted of murdering his wife Nicole and her friend Ronald Goldman in one of the most controversial and public celebrity criminal trials ever, says the AP.

Simpson was later held responsible for their deaths in a civil trial.

  • Finally? So an armed robbery charge is gonna make up for 2 murders? lol... you people are morons..

    In no possible way will he get even the same amount of time for what happened then, and for this...nor will he get the same treatment he would have inside for killing two people.

    They always tell you "it carries a maximum penalty" of whatever,but he won't get a lot for this... for 2 murders, we would of never seen him again.

  • armed robbery does not make up for 2 murders but as long as he is in prison and looking at those four walls........justice will be served. Shows money can not buy everything.

  • I think it is funny that they aquitted him 13 yrs to the day from the muder charges. See this is coming back to him know after what he did to them 13 yrs ago and now being punished in different circumstances and may be in jail for life. He got what was coming to him. I do not feel sorry for him at all. I say finally justice was served?

  • I just can not believe O. J. Simpson was guilty of all those charges.
    This is a racial hanging of all black people. Judge Glass was clearly bias to Simpson lawyers. She treated them like they were little kids in school. "Sit down, shut up, etc. Shame, shame, shame on all those jury. Remember forgiveness for what ever reason Ron Goldman and America. Your justice system dose not work for black people judge Glass. May God be with you.

  • I'm thinking that in any prison he will be a legend and treated as some sort of royalty in the inmate culture...no doubt getting more acceptance and respect from the cons he is thrown in with than from the 'freeworld'

  • not to be racist, but it shows you what happens when it's a fair jury, not an all black jury that loved him as was the case, there was just so much evidence but that turned out to be the problem...there was too much evidence and some of it was inaccurate.

  • Well no matter what when you do wrong it will come back to bite you on the butt,I thought he was inisent on the murders but after he wrote "If I Did it" he answered all my question of the murders.I just hope the the jury did there job not just cuz his OJ cuz the Godfather got alway with more crimes then OJ.
