Ironically, Simpson’s conviction comes on the 13-year anniversary of the day he was controversially acquitted for the murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, in Los Angeles.
This time around, Simpson was unable to escape unscathed, and was convicted - along with his co-defendant Clarence Stewart - on all 12 counts of robbery and kidnapping. Each charge carries a mandatory five years behind bars, with the potential for a full life sentence.
Simpson’s sentencing has been scheduled for December 5.
