See More... "The Insider" has just received an update on the health of former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant Misty May-Treanor.

Misty's rep tells "The Insider," "Misty had a successful surgery on her ruptured Achilles this morning. She is currently at home recovering. He husband Matt is with her."

The Olympic gold medalist in beach volleyball was forced to exit the hit ABC reality dancing competition after she ruptured her Achilles tendon.

In an interview with "The Insider," Misty described the pain of the injury as feeling like she was "hit in the back of the leg with a baseball bat."
