Sarah Palin to Make 'SNL' Appearance?

NBC's "Saturday Night Live" premiered its newest season last month to ratings gold, thanks to 'SNL' alum Tina Fey's impersonation of GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin -- but now the real Palin may appear on the show herself!

Lorne Michaels, "SNL"'s executive producer, said Wednesday that  he is not actively seeking Palin, but that John McCain's campaign had reached out to the comedy show to say they enjoyed Fey's first appearance on Sept. 13, says the Associated Press.

Michaels told the AP that he prefers to keep walk-on appearances under wraps, in case of cancellations made by high-profile guests -- like Barack Obama's decision not to appear due to Hurricane Ike. "I think we looked stupid," Michaels told the AP.

Lorne says the idea of having Fey play Palin came from everyone around him, including his doorman.

As for Palin, the AP reports she would be thrilled to appear on the sketch-comedy show and loves Fey's impersonation of her.

"I love her, she's a hoot and so talented," Palin said about Fey. "It would be fun to meet her, imitate her, and keep on giving her new material."

  • Sarah Palin and her husband belong to a group with Joe Vogle. Joe Vogle is an Anti American activist that wants Alaska to withdraw from the USA...Now that McCain is aware of this, he will let Palin go.....right?
