These are the first pictures from the big screen adaptation of the Sherlock Holmes novels. In his bowler hat and smoking jacket Robert Downey Jr has stepped back in time and into the role of the popular detective. Guy Ritchie, who directs the movie, joined Downey on location in London today for the first day of filming. I wonder how Robert will do in this role - I don’t really see him as Sherlock Holmes but people are saying his British accent for the move "is spot on". Jude Law plays his side kick Dr. Watson. Either way Robert is a great actor and I am sure he will do a good job!
