John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston on three city reunion tour

US Weekly: They were in Boston on Friday, NY on the weekend

The pair met up Friday in Boston to attend a Ray LaMontagne concert.

“It was a very public date,” a source says in the newest issue of Us Weekly.

Mayer was in town teaching a week-long music class at his alma mater, the Berklee College of Music.

The couple then jetted together to New York City for the remainder of the weekend.

The National Enquirer: They flew back to California on Monday and were making out at the airport

That’s right, The NATIONAL ENQUIRER has exclusively discovered that the former lovebirds, Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer, are back together – at least for a little bit.

They just flew into Los Angeles together, landing at 4:05 Pacific Time on Monday, October, 13, The ENQUIRER has confirmed.

The pair split in August after a 3 ½-month romance, but they met up in Manhattan recently and looked like lovers when they came back to California together.

“They were very lovey-dovey,” said an insider. “They kissed several times and hugged each other tightly.

“John gave her a long, lingering kiss.”

Hmmmm…friends with benefits? Or back together?

Once in L.A. they went their separate ways but judging by the kissing, insiders say there’s more to this than just a friendly plane ride together.

It was “he said/she said” with the stories that came out about their breakup in August. It looked like both camps were leaking information to make the other side look bad, but it’s just as likely that the gossip mags were jumping to their own conclusions based on who they liked better.

Some of the breakup stories, in no order and not necessarily true:
- Mayer cheated on Aniston three times before she called it off
- She wanted kids and he didn’t and that’s why he bolted
- Mayer dumped Aniston by text after a heated phone call
- Mayer wanted to get back with Aniston and was sending her text messages, which she ignored
- Aniston was drunk dialing Mayer to get him back

In mid August, Mayer told paparazzi in NY that he wanted to set the record straight about the breakup. He said that no one cheated or lied and in his quest to come across like a standup guy he made it clear that he’s the one who ended the relationship:

“Have me as a man who ended a relationship… stand up for somebody write that Jennifer Aniston is the smartest most sophisticated woman I’ve ever met.”

In late August there were stories that Mayer was upset because the paparazzi were no longer interested in him when he wasn’t with Aniston.

Hopefully that wasn’t a motivation for Mayer to get back together with her. You really haven’t heard much about him in the interim. I wouldn’t put it past him. Aniston is a grown woman and can make her own decisions but I hope she’s not getting used.
