The film was to begin filming this week in one of Paris' housing projects but local officials and the production company say it was put on hold after the cars were burned on Monday by unknown suspects, The Associated Press reports.
The film was said to have planned on using 90 residents from the housing project to serve as extras.
The production company says it will continue filming but has postponed the scenes set around the housing project.
