Can the Republicans Stop Stealing Everybody's Music?

Jon Bon gave TMZ.com this statement today, after finding out that Sarah Palin used his group's song "Who Says You Can't Go Home" during her rallies.

"We are surprised to hear that our song, "Who Says You Can't Go Home" was used by the McCain campaign at rallies yesterday and today. We wrote this song as a thank you to those who have supported us over the past twenty-five years. The song has since become a banner for our home state of New Jersey and the defacto theme song for our partnerships around the country to build homes and rebuild communities. Although we were not asked, we do not approve of their use of 'Home.'"

It's pretty obvious Jon wouldn't want the Republicans blasting his beats, as the NJ boy hosted a dinner at his home for democratic candidate Barack Obama. 

Other songsters who have complained recently of the unauthorized use of their music by the McCain/Palin campaign are Heart, Foo Fighters, John Mellencamp and Jackson Browne.

Can't they just ask Elisabeth Hasselbeck to sing them a song?
