The brothers (and more than 80 other riders) embarked on a 1,000-mile motorcycle rally in South Africa on Saturday to huge fanfare, says the Associated Press.
William and Harry’s epic adventure will raise money for charity and might also leave them with a few black and blue marks -- the princely pair joked that they’re betting as to who takes more spills over the course of the eight day trek, says the AP.
"It's going to be very challenging and we're expecting to fall off many a time," said 24-year-old Harry.
"We both ride bikes at the moment but on-road biking is completely different. All the off-road stuff is up hills, down slopes, across rivers and is all rocky and hilly," added William, 26.
The AP says that money raised from the princes' involvement in "Enduro Africa '08" will be split between UNICEF, the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund and Sentebale, Harry’s own charity for disadvantaged children.
