"The Insider" TV caught up with the Alaska gov. about getting the last laugh during her appearance on "Saturday Night Live."

"It was so much fun and the cast members were amazing -- talented and sharp -- and very welcoming. It was a blast," Palin said while arriving at her New York hotel after the show.

When a fan came up to the VP nominee and said, "You were really good," Palin responded modestly, "Thank you."

She added, "They made it easy, New York was so kind, so it was fun. Thank you." Onlookers then cheered and whooped as Palin waved to them before she disappeared in the elevator.

The opening sketch featuring Palin and her impersonator, Tina Fey, have earned "SNL" its best ratings in 14 years with an estimated 14 million viewers, The Associated Press reports!
