Video: Samuel L. Jackson Remembers 'Soul Men' Co-Stars

Samuel L. Jackson and the late Bernie Mac team up for the laugh-out-loud musical comedy 'Soul Men,' in theaters November 7, and "The Insider" is with Sam as he remembers the good times -- and great talent -- of Bernie and soul legend Isaac Hayes, who both passed away the same weekend in August.

"If you had to make up -- in an ideal world -- a last performance that left a lasting impression on an audience that loved you and cared about you and have watched you do all these things, this is the perfect going away present," Jackson says.

See what Samuel has to say about working with both Mac and Hayes shortly before the entertainment icons passed away.

In 'Soul Men,' Sam and Bernie play a pair of backup soul singers who haven't spoken to each other in 20 years. But when they're invited to perform at a tribute concert for their famous former band leader at the legendary Apollo Theatre, the two curmudgeons reluctantly agree to travel cross country together for the honor. Isaac Hayes has a cameo role in the movie.
