Rumor: Did Eric McCormack throw a tantrum over a booster seat?

Former Will & Grace star Eric McCormack reportedly got into a heated argument with Alaskan Airlines crew members that delayed a flight from Los Angeles to Vancouver when the booster seat he brought onboard for son Finnigan Holden, 4 1/2, was deemed too large for a carry-on item. The incident was reported to the FAA most likely due to the delay it caused. Eric's rep released a statement regarding the issue, saying,
The McCormacks followed the regulations with very little fuss, but still believe their son would be safer in his car seat. They did not jeopardize the safety of any crew member of the airline.
According to an insider on the flight, Eric refused to stow away the seat, saying that he had brought it on planes many times before and never had a problem. However, the source said the seat still had a price tag on it and there was a warning label affixed on the bottom that said it was not to be used on an aircraft.
