According to police, the pageant queen and her group of girlfriends decided to dine and dash -- leaving without paying the bill -- at a local eatery.
They might have gotten away with it too, if she hadn't left her purse behind.
Police said the 18-year-old beauty left her purse at the restaurant and the four young women were spotted when they came back to pick it up.
Unfortunately for them the purse had been discovered the by the manager, who had already called the police. With the police on location upon their return to the scene of the crime, the girls were quickly busted.
A police spokesperson said the women admitted intentionally leaving without paying their bill and it was not a case of forgetting to pay. The total bill came to $46.07.
But meal thievery wasn't the only reason Miss Louisiana went to jail.
Authorities say they also discovered marijuana in the purse she'd left behind.
She was promptly arrested for theft and pot possession.
