Michael Jordan tops Forbes celebrity divorce list

The world of celebrity divorce is all about big money.

A list of 10 most expensive divorce settlements of the stars by Forbes magazine has been topped by basketball star Michael Jordan, who is followed by singer-songwriter Neil Diamond and Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg.

Jordan’s pending divorce from his wife of 18 years, could fetch his wife Juanita Vanoy, a Chicage bank officer more than $150 million.

A close second was Neil Diamond, who paid his wife an estimated $150 million. Diamond married TV production assistant Marcia Murphey in 1969 and divorced in 1996.

Spielberg’s first marriage, to actress Amy Irving, ended in 1989 with his wife walking away with about $100 million.

Actor Harrison Ford ranked fourth on the list with an estimated $85 million paid to his first wife, Melissa Mathison.

Screen star Kevin Costner paid an estimated $80 million to his first wife Cindy Silva as divorce settlement.
