Jimmy Kimmel sounded smug when he guest-hosted "Larry King Live" and told Gawk er.com editor Emily Gould he "doesn't know anyone who would advertise on Web sites like hers." It turns out Kimmel's own show, "Jimmy Kimmel Live," buys ad space on three blogs similar to Gawker - A Socialite's Life, Egotastic and The Superficial. Now Kim mel's backtracked, telling The Post's Marianne Garvey, "Larry's suspenders were very tight on me, so I didn't complete my sentence. I have nothing against Web sites, online blogs or celebrity gossip. I was referring specifically to a site that en courages anyone with a cell phone to slander and stalk people." Kimmel was referring to the Gawker Stalker map, which tracks celebs' movements. Gould said, "If Jimmy ever gets interested in actu ally finding out what the Stalker Map is, I encourage him to try reading Gawker for the first time. But for now, I'm just sad that I'm going to have to throw away my cherished DVDs of 'The Man Show' and 'Garfield.' "HAH It was a little irritating when he started whining about celebrities being slandered, because I'm pretty sure he's made fun of celebrities either in a monologue at some point, or maybe even on that incredibly classy show where he had girls jumping on trampolines or pouring beer on their tats or whatevers. Anyway, look - A Socialite's Life on Page Six! I'm such a for my workplace's name in lights.
