According to ABC News' Rick Klein, the move comes as the McCain-Palin campaign attempts to boost its support among female voters.
Earlier this week, the ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll showed that 56 percent of women say the Palin pick makes them less confident in McCain's judgment.

Hasselbeck wore a McCain T-shirt on Tuesday's program, and banged heads with liberal co-host Joy Behar on Wednesday.
“[McCain is] the most unifying figure in the Senate. Barack Obama is so far left,” Hasselbeck said. She then turned to Behar and said: "Do you want some more Barack Obama Kool-Aid, or what?”
