The UN Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency was in Afghanistan on her first post-twin trip to a UNHCR operation. The Oscar winner is there appealing for more support for Afghan refugees who are returning home. She concluded her trip on Thursday.

  • I agree it's great to help children in need but let's start in our own backyard. We have so many children in the US that go hungry every night too - why doesn't she worry about them? If she was doing this in other countries as well as the US - then that would be fine - but lets help our own too!! I've worked with the Family Giving Tree which originate in the Bay Area of California. If you read some of those children's wishes you would cry - I did. One year an eight year old wanted a blanket for Christmas to help keep his mommy warm. A 14 year old asked for a set of towels/wash clothes. They get two ask for two things a fun item and a necessity - it's amazing what they really want. I don't have much but I've been helping this group now for 7 years. Every little bit helps!!

    • I agree. . There are so many hungry children and adults in the US that go without food
      everyday. I think it's great that jolie is helping the unfortunate around the world, but she needs to realize that we here in the US need alot of help too. I myself is struggling to survive. We need help in our own backyards!

  • While I appreciate she is a goodwill ambassador, she has a responsibilty to her own too. As a mother of six, including 2 newborns, she has no right to put herself in harms way. She could get killed overthere and then what- six kids no mom. Smarten up Angie!

  • she is jealous that her father is getting more attention than her these days! did she go over to pick up anoter kid? I will respect her and what she does when she grows up and mends fences with her father. He is a good man and does not deserve the way that she continues to treat him...CHARITY starts at home!
