Penelope Cruz and Halle Berry discuss adoption

Penelope Cruz hopes to adopt, telling the Spanish Marie Claire mag it's something she's wanted to do for a while. "Of course I want to have kids," the Volver actress says. "I want to have my own kids, but also adopt. For a while I've had the feeling that my life won't be complete if I don't adopt." Despite recent rumors of flings with Orlando Bloom and Josh Hartnett, when asked if she is single, Cruz said, "Yes, but that's all I'm going to say. I know in past interviews I talk about my job, but the article only talks about my [personal] life. I'm not entering into that game." Another star considering adoption is Halle Berry, who said recently, "I hope I have children one day - it's not too late. I am looking forward to that. Maybe I will adopt somewhere down the road if that is the only way to bring a child into my life." Berry criticized Angelina Jolie's choice of adopting abroad, however, saying, "There are lots of children that need a home in America. I feel we have forgotten about our own kids. With Brad and Angelina it's whatever works for them." Is adopting a child from some foreign country the latest Hollywood craze or what? Even Jessica Simpson has "considered" it.
