Amy Poehler Gives Birth to Baby Boy

"The Insider" confirms that "Saturday Night Live"'s Amy Poehler has given birth to a baby boy, just hours before she had been scheduled to appear on the NBC sketch comedy show.  

A rep said Amy and her husband Will Arnett welcomed Archie Arnett - weighing 8 lbs 1oz.- on Saturday. "Amy, Will and Archie are all healthy and resting comfortably," the rep told "The Insider."

Poehler, who performed on Thursday night's special edition of "SNL," was rehearsing for this week's show until Friday.

Earlier this year, she also starred along with "SNL" alum Tina Fey in the film"Baby Mama," in which Poehler played a working class girl who agrees to be a surrogate mother for a single businesswoman.
