Cody Linley: I'm Bummed Julianne Hough Is Gone!

"I'm bummed that Julianne is gone," he admitted to Usmagazine.com after Monday's show. Hough, 20, is a two-time champ.

But Linley says Hough will have no problem getting through the minor procedure, which she undergoes today. She suffers from endometriosis, a painful condition caused by the growth of the tissue lining the uterus in other parts of the abdomen outside of the uterus.

"Julianne's a trouper," he said. "She's the strongest woman I know...[and] it's actually genetic because her sister and her mom's gone through the same situation.

"My love and support and prayers go to her, and I'm going to be there to support her through this whole thing," he added. "But I know she's going to be OK, and hopefully be back to dance with me again next week if I'm still around."

Despite being hospitalized for pain last week, Hough and Linley still danced the samba Monday to mixed reviews from judges.

"Everyone is like, 'take all the time you need,'" Linley told Us. "We even told her not to dance this week...but she's so determined and focused, and she really wants to dance!

"It's definitely a possibility that she'll be back in a week," Linley added.

But just in case, Edyta Sliwinska, who got the boot the first week along with her partner, comic Jeffrey Ross, is on stand-by to step in.

"I'm dancing with Edyta and I'm excited about that, because she's an awesome dancer," Linley told Us.
