Ne-Yo, Lil Wayne, D-Block, Jay & Beyonce @ Powerhouse

New York’s Power 105fm’s Powerhouse concert went down yesterday at the IZOD center and Lil Wayne surprisingly made it through security and performed. After he stepped off the stage, he told Free that he skipped out on the Boston Monster Jam show the night before due to “technical difficulties”.  Hmmm, that’s strange. The 94.5 Jamz morning show’s story is that Lil Wayne refused to go through the metal detectors, even though his band was already set up on stage and everything.  (and yes they were mad enough to call him a little b*tch) Wayne also talked about the birth of his son in Cincinnati which he described as one of the happiest moments in his life. He revealed that he was actually at the hospital and helped deliver his son saying “I was holding on to his left leg the whole time”. Wayne seemed really happy but I’m just wondering why no one bothered to ask him about the Roc sign he’s been throwing up lately. Is that an ode to Jay-z or is he seriously about to join The Roc?

I didn’t attend the concert but I received multiple text messages, twitters and the whole nine throughout the night with my requested updates.  Wayne brought out Bobby V during his set for “Miss Officer” and ended his set singing Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”.  I heard his performance was incredibly disappointing. Ne-Yo rocked the house and brought out Jada Kiss, Plies and Fabolous during his set. Jay-z of course brought out Memphis Bleek but the biggest surprise (or maybe not) was Beyonce Sasha Fierce appearing on stage to perform “Single Ladies”.  Check it out below:
