"As people who are on TV and movies or whatever, we're role models for people, and if young girls read these magazines and there is something wrong with us and we're airbrushed and touched up ... imagine how they must feel about themselves.

"It's really insensitive. It's really unnecessary," the star continued. "Cheryl Burke is so beautiful and an amazing dancer and that's what people should concentrate on."
And, DeGeneres added, Burke is only a size four.
"It's really silly, and it hurts your feelings," Hewitt replied. "That stuff gets under your skin whether you want it to or not.
"It feels very high school," she added. "I don't know who decides what person is more important than everyone else that they can sort of tear people down that way."

Hewitt - who revealed in a recent Us Weekly cover story that she shed 18 lbs. in 10 weeks - said she lost weight to train for a marathon, not because of mean comments people made about her.
