Simon Cowell and Terri Seymour are Finished!

I Like It I Don't Like It
See More... I think being the girlfriend of Simon Cowell must be one of the most interesting and infuriating experiences there could be but Terri Seymour enjoyed it for six years before calling it quits with the super nasty and super honest judge from American Idol. Apparently, it’s just a classic case of one wants kids and the other doesn’t. And guess which one wants the kids? It sure as heck isn’t Simon! Although I do think that Simon would make a great family man, he’s made it quite clear on several occasions that he is one bachelor that will forever remain so. This is what Bumpshack reports on the split,

“Simon Cowell and Terri Seymour, his girlfriend of six years, have split according to Cowell’s talking head. The split took place back in September when Seymour decided to end it with the popular American Idol judge.

”Terri phoned Simon and finished it in September, about six weeks ago,” says Cowell’s rep, Max Clifford. “They are going to remain close friends. Simon thinks the world of Terri and that isn’t going to change. He also understands her reason for ending it.”

The couple were together for six years. Seymour, 34, first met Cowell, 48, when she was 18, but the couple didn’t begin dating until she interviewed him for a show in 2002.

“In the past Terri has said that she wants kids but that just isn’t Simon,” added Clifford. “Nobody else is involved, certainly not on Simon’s side.”

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for this amicable split business that they seem to want the public to believe but the way this break-up has been handled seems very odd to me. First of all, why does Terri Seymour think that it’s okay to break up with your long-term boyfriend over the phone? Does six years really not deserve more than that? And the way Simon’s reps are talking clearly indicate that they are only concerned with making sure that he comes out of this looking like some kind of understanding, non-cheater in that they specifically mention that there ‘was nobody else involved,’ and then kindly add, ‘certainly not on Simon’s side.’ I don’t think it’s necessary to allude to the fact that nobody cheated, unless it’s a case of protesting too much. And to further go on and say that at least definitely not on his side, as if to say that there was probably somebody else on Terri’s side of things. My guess is that underneath the surface of this warm and fuzzy split, there are some very bitter feelings and subtle shots are being taken.

  • Insiders Please find out the Truth. I believe they have been apart and just living together a long time ago. When Simon frist started building his new home. He stated a couple of years ago on ExtraTV that is new home would be a great Bachelor pad. Poor Terri just laughed it off.

  • I suspect Simon Cowell's passionate love (other than mum and family) is his career. How can a relationship compete with that. He simply loves his hard earned position at the top more than a romantic attachment. When faced with a choice of placing his demanding career second to his love life, sorry. (So far anyway) I bow to the lady who can change that. I think he is just to honest a person to lie about it either. I also believe he is the type to have been up front about it from the beginning. I have spent 62 years, forty of them married, raising a family and working. I base my opinion on all those years of life around me. I love American Idol and Simon.
