A well-placed source tells Usmagazine.com that the Republican presidential contender is set to appear on this weekend's Saturday Night Live -- days before voter the polls.
Democrat Ben Affleck is set to host.

The 71-year-old McCain -- whose running mate Gov. Sarah Palin made her own guest appearance on the show two weeks ago -- last appeared on SNL in May.
He joked about his age. "Good evening, my fellow Americans," he said. "I ask you: what should we be looking for in our next president? Certainly, someone who is very, very, very old."

He also popped up in a Weekend Update segment, calling on Democrats to keep the primary race going as long as possible.
McCain hosted the comedy show in 2002, famously crooning Barbra Streisand's "The Way We Were" and "Memories" way off-key.
"Do I know how sing?" he asked. "About as well as she knows how to govern America."
