William Balfour, a person of interest in the murders of Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and nephew, has a parole hearing on Monday. What might happen if the hearing goes in his favor?

Balfour hasn't been charged in the shootings of Hudson’s relatives, and the Associated Press says he could be released from custody if, during his hearing, an administrative officer determines there is no reason to keep him detained.

Balfour, 27, is the husband to Hudson's sister, Julia Hudson, but they are separated. The AP says he missed his meeting with his parole agent on the day Hudson's mother and brother were killed.
