See More... How did the Obamas celebrate their first weekend after Barack Obama’s historic presidential win?

President-elect Barack Obama took his wife, future First Lady Michelle Obama, out on a dinner date in Chicago Saturday night!

Obama, who called Michelle his “best friend” and his “rock” during his presidential victory speech last Tuesday night, was snapped leaving a Chicago restaurant with his beaming wife.

  • Obama:
    I hate to see what he and his wife will do for the rest of AMERICA..after they have over taxed and run ILL into the ground.
    Why hasn’t anyone ever talked or told anyone about this man and his wife being a hater of AMERICA and its people?
    This is a sad day for AMERICA.

  • It must be Sean Hannity or Bill O'Reilly writing this negative stuff here about President-elect Obama and his beautiful wife Michelle. Michelle loves this country and so does her husband. If you think so negative about our new president, why don't you pack your bags and leave and move to Canada or Mexico!Oh by the way she will be a great first lady and he will be a great president!!

  • I am so tired of hearing about Sarah Palin. Can't we just let her fade away, the election is over and so are her 15 min. of fame. The same for Anna Nicole Smith. Let the lady rest in peace already. Are we going to have to hear how old she would have been for the next 40 years!!! Enough already!

  • How disappointing to see that the President Elect is spending $700 for an evening out while people are starving and without employment. We could feed 200 people for 3 weeks at our homeless center. For the people?

  • This man is going to do wonderful things for the people on this planet. He is so charismatic he could be a Great spiritual leader not just a president of the USA.
    Macaine looks very inferior next to this great man.

  • Barack - unto his lovely bud Michelle

    And why not death rather than living torment?
    To die is to be banish'd from myself;
    And Michelle is myself: banish'd from her
    Is self from self: a deadly banishment!
    What light is light, if Michelle be not seen?
    What joy is joy, if Michelle be not by?
    Unless it be to think that she is by
    And feed upon the shadow of perfection
    Except I be by Michelle in the night,
    There is no music in the nightingale;
    Unless I look on Michelle in the day,
    There is no day for me to look upon;
    She is my essence, and I leave to be,
    If I be not by her fair influence
    Foster'd, illumined, cherish'd, kept alive.
    I fly not death, to fly his deadly doom:
    Tarry I here, I but attend on death:
    But, fly I hence, I fly away from life.

  • Rosie O'Donald-Barbera Walters may "never" understand others who are outsie her "little box". So, stop trying, ok.
    You are an understanding, and a deeply careing person.
    She is too-maybe to a point, and that is where some of us lack understanding and compassion and the reciever on the other end "crushed" for a lack of a better word. I think you are handling it very well. Best wishes on your new show!
