John Mayer on His New Serious Side

In a new blog to his fans, John Mayer talks about why he’s toned down his impromptu interaction with some media and what upcoming projects he has in store!

The singer had this to say on his blog:

“A quick point about all things media/gossip/paparazzi related, as I know there's been some chatter amongst the fan boards lately...”

"I am not darker, angrier or moodier these days. In fact, it's just the opposite ... A walk to the car isn't the best time to try and analyze my mood or disposition, so you'll probably always get a bad read from it."

Mayer goes to tell fans that he is busy working on an all-new album, saying fans won't "regret a thing" about the serious side of Mayer when they hear his new music.  The singer has scheduled a live performance in Los Angeles on Dec. 6.

  • I would hate to be a (misunderstood) celebrity. I want to tell the pap to focus on careers, but crap-talk comes with the territory -- this IS his career. Mayer does pretty okay with counter-attacks.
