David Cook Opens Up About Kimberly Caldwell

The "American Idol" winner explains why he finds it easy to date Kimberly, who was also a contestant on the popular singing competition.

"I think she just gets that this is all nuts," the 25-year-old singer tells People magazine at the Do the Wright Thing Gala at the Hard Rock Café in New York. "She's a nice break from the chaos," David adds.

Kimberly, 26, from the second season of "American Idol," and has a music career of her own and released two singles earlier this year. But David, who confirmed last May that he was dating Kimberly, said there are no plans for the duo to perform duets.

David Cook's self-titled album is due to be released November 18.
