Travis Barker Back Drumming After Plane Crash

Music News - If you missed the final TRL yesterday, you didn't get to see the return of Travis Barker.  Only two months after being in a private plane crash in SC, former Blink 182 drummer, Travis Barker is back in action.  Yesterday, (11/16) he appeared live via satellite from his studio in LA on MTV's Total Finale Live. "Thanks for all the support," he said. "I feel better every day".  He looked good and was upbeat.  His appearance was his first on-camera interview since the private plane he was in with DJ AM slid off a South Carolina runway at takeoff in September.  The crash killed four and left him and bandmate/friend DJ AM severely burned. Barker plans to make/record music with AM again soon.   "It was like riding a bike," the drummer said of getting back behind his drumkit. "It was really exciting to know I still have my chops. It still felt good. I still can make it around the kit. Everything felt right, so I'm thankful to be able to play."

"He can't not drum, you know? The man was born to sit behind a drumkit and do his thing," Barker's former Blink 182 bandmate and current +44 band member Mark Hoppus said. "The doctors are saying that his body is really healing in a positive way".  Hoppus added: "No matter what I work on, Travis will be part of, for sure."
