See More... Reese Witherspoon opens up about her divorce from actor Ryan Phillippe and her thoughts on giving marriage another try.

"There are things in my life that are hard to reconcile, like divorce," the actress tells Parade magazine.

Reese and former husband Ryan met at her 21st birthday party in 1997 and were married two years later. "Sometimes it is very difficult to make sense of how it could possibly happen. Laying blame is so easy. I don’t have time for hate or negativity in my life. There’s no room for it."

Reese is currently dating actor Jake Gyllenhaal but she's in no rush to walk down the aisle. “Family is all we have in life, but I don’t know how I feel about marriage,” she explains. “Obviously, I’m not far enough out of being married to think about doing it again. You sort of reconstitute your family. You find a family, with people who come into your life for a reason."

Catch Reese's on-screen marriage with Vince Vaughn in her latest film 'Four Christmases,' in theaters Nov. 26.

Reese's entire interview with Parade magazine hits newsstands Nov. 23.

  • Les McFall has an interesting way to deal with the exception clause in Matthew 19:9 that appear to allow for divorce and remarriage for marriage unfaithfulness.
He has written a 43 page paper that reviews the changes in the Greek made by Erasmus that effect the way Matthew 19:9 has been translated. I reviewed McFall's paper at Except For Fornication Clause of Matthew 19:9. I would love to hear some feedback on this position.
