Pete Wentz and wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz have welcomed their first child, a baby boy. Bronx Mowgli Wentz arrived on the evening of Thursday, November 20th, in Los Angeles, Calif., weighing in at 7 lbs, 11 oz and 20.5 inches long. In a statement, the couple's rep shares:
"Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!"
After a month of rumors, Pete confirmed the pregnancy in May, saying, "Every woman, no matter who they are or what they do for a living, has the right to wait at least three months before sharing this very personal news. I apologize to anyone who felt misinformed but the truth is, the person and growing baby is who I felt most loyal to protect and defend."
The couple was out and about during the pregnancy, most notably appearing at the MTV VMAs in September. In recent weeks, Pete and Ashlee laid low as they awaited their baby's arrival.
