"The Insider"'s Steven Cojocaru was on the scene as the beautiful Beyonce walked the red carpet for the Hollywood premiere of her new movie, 'Cadillac Records' where the multitalented star revealed how she prepared to play the legendary Etta James.
"I'm like everyone else," she says. "I have insecurities and I get vulnerable and I get lonely and I have pain and I just had to draw on that."
The movie, out December 5, tells the story of Chess Records and its many legendary recording artists, also including Leonard Chess, portrayed by Oscar winner Adrien Brody; Muddy Waters, played by Jeffrey Wright; and Chuck Berry, played by rapper/actor Mos Def.
"This is the story of rock and roll, this is the story of music and the first label that crossed over African-American artist," Beyonce says. "It's a story that needs to be told."
