Nick Jonas talks about his Type 1 Diabetes

In November 2005, Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers found out that he had type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is generally diagnosed in young adults and children. It was previously known as juvenile diabetes. People who have type 1 diabetes are unable to produce insulin, which is a hormone that is needed to convert sugar, or glucose, starches and other food into energy needed for everyday life.
